This course is designed to help you to refine your observation skills.
The course will use video footage of lessons and will include:
- The purpose of lesson observations;
- The place of lesson observations in raising standards;
- Clear criteria for making judgements;
- Where to pitch your judgements, exploring the features of outstanding teaching;
- How to decide the focus of an observation;
- How to record your findings and
- How to give feedback to teachers.
The course will give delegates a clear framework for lesson
observation and will involve practical activities in order to refine
observation skills.
