The trouble with boys
Can't write, won't write- that is the verdict of some in education when it comes to many of the boys in their class.
On this training day, award-winning children's author will argue that, based on current evidence, with the right approach, most boys can be switched on to read and write effectively. He will draw on his eighteen years experience as a teacher and eight years visiting 150 schools a year around the UK and abroad as a consultant and author, to demonstrate some of the strategies that work in the classroom. He will model text and scaffold effective lessons and display evidence for his approach.
